How to Install a Bathroom TV

In today’s times, a bathroom no longer stops at a shower and toilet. With luxury bathrooms becoming more common, bathroom televisions are becoming more popular. With this said many people are renovating restrooms and installing televisions to add the extra wow factor. If you are looking into installing a television in your bathroom, it is very easy to do. The following are the steps that you need to take to insure a proper TV mount in your bathroom.

1) Take a look at the layout of your bathroom. Look at your wall space and determine the location that would best for the TV. Once you have the location that you like, look for outlets that are nearby. If there are not any outlets in the area you will need to A) choose a different location or B) if you are renovating, install an outlet in that wall.

2) After you have the location, you need to measure the area so that you know what size television you can install.

3) After you have the measurements, the next step is purchasing your television. When you are looking at televisions, there are a few features that you should look at. First, the television needs to be water proof. If it is not waterproof, the TV may be damaged by the steam. Also, an additional feature to look at is if it is fog proof. While this is not a necessary feature, it may make your viewing more enjoyable.

4) Once you have your television, an optional step is getting a wall mount. Depending on your bathroom, you may or may not need a wall mount. If you do, the only thing you need to look at when purchasing a wall mount is making sure it is the right size.

5) If you do not need a wall mount, you simply put the TV in its designated space, plug it in, and your done. For those who need a wall mount, this is the step where the installation comes in. Each wall mount is a little different. It is important to read the instructions that come with your wall mount. In this step, make sure you put the proper screws in the right location. Also, make sure that you tighten the screws to ensure a good hold.

6) Once you have the wall mount properly installed, you simply slide your television into the mount. When you do this, you need to ensure that the TV is properly sitting on the mount before you release the TV. I recommend slowly releasing the TV any watching for any movement.

7) Once you have done all of these steps, next you have the options of adding a DVD player or gaming system. To do this, you simply match the red, yellow, and white cords from the system, to the red, yellow, and white slots on the front or back of your television.

8) After you have completed these steps, you simply need t o enjoy your new addition!
